Quality Assurance for doctoral programs

The Joint Commission is a proposal-making, advisory and steering body with the following functions:

  • it monitors, with appropriate evaluation indicators, the educational offer, the quality of the teaching and the student service activities
  • it delivers opinions on the activation and discontinuation of courses of study
  • it prepares an annual report to be forwarded to the Quality Control office and to the Evaluation Board, in which it expresses its evaluations and formulates proposals for improving the quality and effectiveness of the education offered
  • it disseminates the University's quality policies to students
  • it expresses opinions and proposals on all matters concerning teaching that the governing bodies of the Department submit for its consideration
