Public Engagement

The public engagement activities promoted by the Department of Human and Social Sciences are spread across different fields of knowledge and are very diverse: what they have in common, however, is their focus on the human being as a free and unique person who identifies him or herself through their social and cultural ties. With this in mind, the dialogue with the territory that the Department has been cultivating for years aims to create opportunities for encounters that promote:

  • the full development and care of the human person;
  • attention to the social and organisational contexts in which the person operates;
  • collaboration in educational and training processes;
  • the analysis of social and communicative processes;
  • reflection on identity and inequalities;
  • discussion on the issues of disability and inclusion.
