The Department of Human and Social Sciences is located in Piazzale Sant'Agostino 2, in Bergamo.
It has a complex of 32 classrooms, not for its exclusive use, as these spaces are in part shared with the Departments of Foreign Languages, Literature and Cultures and of Humanities, Philosophy and Communication, for the performance of their activities (the premises of the three Departments, in fact, together constitute the humanities campus of the University of Bergamo). As well as these spaces, the Department also rents the Auditorium at the Seminary in Via Arena 11. Sant'Agostino is home to the University's prestigious Aula Magna (500 seats).
First and Second cycle degree programmes are taught by the Department.
The classrooms include two computer labs, Lab. 5 Pignolo (39 seats) and Lab. 18 Pignolo (96 seats), plus another Laboratory, in the Via Salvecchio building (shared use with the Departments of Foreign Languages, Literature and Cultures and Humanities, Philosophy and Communication).
For the degree course in Sport and Exercise Sciences, in particular, the availability of suitable sports facilities for teaching purposes is notable, thanks to specific agreements with their managers and in cooperation with CUS Bergamo.
