In line with the University's Strategic Research Plan, the main objectives of the Department's Strategic Research Plan aim to pursue the quality and internationalisation of the research carried out by the Department's members, to recruit young researchers of a high scientific level and to increase the ability to obtain funding through research projects on national and international competitive calls.

The Department fully shares the University's objective of creating a critical mass of young researchers, which is necessary to maintain a good competitive level of the research groups within the multidisciplinary department, in national and international arenas.
